After over six years, HRH2030, USAID’s flagship health workforce program closed in 2021. HRH2030 supported the goal of improving accessibility, availability, acceptability, and quality of the health workforce needed to achieve improved health outcomes and advance universal health coverage. Through work in over 30 countries, HRH2030 has been adaptive, creative, and thoughtful to the human resources for health (HRH) challenges both globally and at a country level in support of that goal.
Our HRH2030 Global Final Report shares our achievements, going beyond the content of milestones we reached to also consider how our work is relevant to the current global health context, including the COVID-19 era and the launch of the new USAID Vision for Health Systems Strengthening. May HRH2030’s achievements, highlighted throughout this report, serve as inspiration for all those in the global health community to increase their tangible investments in supporting and protecting the health workforce.
