Investing in the Next Generation of Health Workforce Researchers

Every two years, Emerging Voices for Global Health (EV4GH), a thematic working group of Health Systems Global welcomes a new cohort of young, promising health policy and systems researchers from around the world into its innovative blended training program.

HRH2030 has teamed up with EV4GH to ensure that the next generation of health workforce researchers have a voice in achieving the current — and setting the future — global health agenda. With the passage of the Global Strategy on Human Resources for Health: Workforce 2030 and the Dublin Declaration on Human Resources for Health, the stage is set for those willing to advocate and build evidence for improved efficiency and investment in the health workforce.

HRH2030 will sponsor the participation of five “emerging voices” from the 2018 EV4GH program at the Fifth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research, taking place from October 8 to 12, 2018 in Liverpool, UK. The HRH2030-supported researchers were selected for their strong focus on human resources for health-related topics, such as health worker mobility, retention, and supervision.
