Making the Case for HIV/AIDS HRH Investment

Scale-up of HIV/AIDS services globally necessitates shared financial responsibility for controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic. With this comes a need to better understand the human resources for health (HRH) investments required for HIV programs, current funding sources, and countries’ ability and willingness to increase their investments in the health workforce.

Through this activity, HRH2030 will work with the national ministry of health and other stakeholders to:

  • Determine the government’s capacity to increase and sustain HRH financing levels to meet HIV service delivery targets
  • Identify political and structural barriers and enablers to increasing investment in HIV human resources
  • Make recommendations for mobilizing domestic resources to meet HIV human resources targets
