09 Dec Materials from the 2019 American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene Annual Meeting Presentation
On November 21, 2019, HRH2030 team members from the Capacity Building for Malaria (CBM) activity attended the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (ASTMH) Annual Meeting in National Harbor, Maryland. The CBM Activity supports National Malaria Control Programs in Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Guinea, and Togo. Togolese National Malaria Control Program Dr. Tinah Atcha-Oubou presented on Alternative Transport Options for LLIN Transportation in Togo at the ASTMH conference in National Harbor. This presentation highlighted the partnership between the Togolese NMCP and the Togolese armed forces to deliver Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Nets during Togo’s 2017 mass distribution campaign, which resulted in over 300,000 USD of cost-savings (66% of budgeted cost) and laid the foundation for future cost-saving partnerships with the Togolese Armed Forces.
